The Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MGLSD) is implementing the NAGV Programme to provide structured employment-based learning and work readiness skills to unemployed and underemployed youth aged 18-30 years.
The NAGV Programme has two core components: Apprenticeship and Graduate Volunteerism. The Apprenticeship Component equips participants through structured learning with specific occupation competencies, ending with formal assessment and certification.

Transitioning traditional master-craftsperson learning into formal, structured training opportunities. Focuses on establishing trade training centers to supplement and reinforce workplace-based learning with structured curriculum and assessment.
Creates employment opportunities for young graduates while building capacity of national institutions and private sector. Includes one-week work readiness training, placement in host institutions, and mid-term training with coaching and mentorship.
